Did you know you can explore the woods around the Maine Lake Science Center on a beautiful loop trail? The Pinehaven Trail connects to Pondicherry Park and weaves through old pastureland and a lowland forested swamp along a boardwalk. In 2018, Mary Maxwell and Roy Lambert donated funding to develop and construct a low elements challenge course with four stations and interpretive signs along the trail. The trail became so popular that with additional funding from the Davis Conservation Foundation we were able to add more stations to the trail in 2019. Three new stations are now complete: Bridgetown, The Narrow Gauge, and Mills and Dams!
The parking lot is at the start of the MLSC driveway, off Willett Road. There is additional parking behind the science center (if there is not an event taking place). If the lots are full, please return later or consider another trail. Parking on the road is prohibited.

“We’re from out of state and would like to thank you for one of the most well maintained trail systems we have hiked in our combined 158 years!!”
Please help us to keep our trails special and safe by contributing to the donation post on the trail, becoming an LEA member, using the trails and elements responsibly, and picking up after yourselves. No smoking please. Thank you!
